Dalyla's phrases and words

"Where is she"? for Where is it.
"Shit"...hmmm wonder where she got that?
"binket" for Blanket
"baby" for baby
She says pretty much anything you say, but sometimes it is hard to understand.
"football" for any sport on TV
and the favorite...."NO!" for everything, although she fully understands the meaning.
She is trying to say Grandma too, but it isn't too easy for her.
"Papa" for grandpa.
"ewww"
"Ouchie"
and she now kisses her owies. She also wants me to kiss her owies when she falls.
She gives Avalin, Mandi's daughter hugs. Avalin is so sweet and loving, and gives Dalyla kisses.

Halloween

Halloween! Halloween was very fun this year with Dalyla. At 17 months old she had a good time. We had the annual pumpkin carving evening. She tried to participate but thought the pumpkin guts were "eewww".

Dalyla was a cheetah this year. She looked like a kitty cat more though. She loved to wear her little hat. She normally hates things on her head. But when I would say, "let's put on your kitty hat" she would tilt her head forward like she was so excited.
She got to go trick or treating at Grammy Becki's work and my work. She had 3 suckers in 20 minutes. Yes, she loves sugar now!

We went to Zachary's school costume parade early in the morning to start the day off. She loved looking at all of the costumes. She especially liked the witch hats. Zachary was a ninja..( i think). :)

Robert and I went out on Friday night to a party and hung out with Todd since he was in town this year. So Robert of course couldn't be anything modest. He was a Sexy Nun and I was Pocahontas. We had a good time.

What a trip!

Updates on Dalyla

Well since I am a slacker mom and haven't made Dalyla a baby book I figure I better at least keep up on the blog.
Dalyla is now 16 months old! She gets around pretty well. She flies up and down the stairs with no problems. She tries to repeat pretty much everything you say. She can say please, but not thanks yet. She says one words but she can put together one phrase, " up pwease" when she wants you to hold her or get up on something. She is pretty darn smart. She loves to read books. She is just barely getting into tv. She can say, "foot ball". Last night she got into watching baseball of all things. I think that she is going to be into sports. This morning we watched cartoons together. She loves to watch Mickey Mouse now because she recognizes the characters. We were watching Chuggington and Manney and she liked those too.

She tries to push the chair up to the counter to help me do dishes now. She gets frustrated when she can't do something. She will start to whine and cry. I just laugh at her most of the time.

It is almost Halloween. I decorated a bit. Dalyla is not quite sure of the cackling witch on my front door. She loves the little scare crows though.

What mischevious things have I caught her doing lately? Hmm..well she likes to eat crayons. I walked into her bedroom because she was being awfully quiet to find purple crayon spewing out of her mouth and down her shirt. LOL!
The other morning I took her diaper off to get in the shower and she touched her poo and smeared it all over the cabinets.
She likes to dump water out of the bathtub now too.

She, in general is a pretty good kid.

What sweet things does she do? She blows kisses to me bye-bye now. She says "buh-bye" and waves. It's so stinking cute. She will give kisses and hugs to just about every stuffed animal. She loves her daddy, thats for sure.

She is addicted to ice cubes. Loves to chew them. That is a Jana and Robert thing. She is obsessed with toothbrushes. Although, none of her own. I guess that isn't such a bad thing.
