Today for some reason is an emotional day. I'm sure it has a lot to do with hormones but mostly because as I look at the blog for my friend's grand daughter Cami who was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 5, it reminds me at how much I enjoy and love my daughter and how much I appreciate her in my life.
Yesterday she had one of her whiney days and it frustrated me. But at the end of the night I looked at her and forgot all about my frustrations because she is perfect. She is beautiful, smart and so amazing. I couldn't ask for anything more. I have to simply remind myself of how good life is.
Cami's mom Chelsea is so amazing. I ask myself if I could be that amazing if something like cancer happened to Dalyla. Man I hope so. Playing tea parties with her stuffed Froggy and dressing up and dancing in the living room. It is definitely the little things that make like worth living.
As for what is new in our life. Hmmm, not a whole lot. Robert and I workout most days, ha-ha. We take along Dalyla. Last Monday we went to the high school track to run and let her out of the stroller after, omg, she ran and ran. I bet she could keep up with us the next time. :)
Last Saturday we went on a hike up to Catherine's Pass with Aunt Fishy. :) That was the first time I packed Dalyla all the way by myself. It was really good. She had a good time. On the way down she fell asleep in the pack. ha-ha! Pretty cute.
Robert is a good dad. He was Mr. Mom while I went out of town for 4 days. He does quite well. I am amazed at what a good dad he is. So calm. Much more calm than I am. It is crazy to see how much different it is with Dalyla's attitude with her dad than with me. I am already the push over and he is the enforcer. Robert has been really busy and working hard at work. His project gives him quite a bit of responsibility. I am very proud of him. He manages to mow the lawn and keep up the yard these days too.
Dalyla has to have one of her soft blankies to sleep. She is now off of the bottle! She does still have milk in a sippie cup though to go to sleep. She went poop in the big girl potty chair the other day. I think it was just perfect timing. She was in the bath and laughing at farting of course. She thinks it's funny when she "toot, toots". So I took her out and put her on the potty and she did it. :) I hope it won't be too long before we are done with that big step. She is talking a lot more now. She tries to repeat things you say. It is so cute how she says Please. ha-ha. "pwease". The other day she said "see ya". She is trying to sing her ABC's now. She tries to count too. Pretty funny.
As for me, gosh. Im just the crazy mom/wife. Trying to make sure the house stays clean is my constant battle that I seem to lose more often than not. :) I was so happy after Robert helped me clean windows! Who knew that clean windows would make a woman so happy! LOL!
Work is busy. I have been going out of town more that I want. But, work I think keeps me busy. Although I think of a million other things that could keep me busy too, but I wouldn't get that sweet thing called CASH! Since I have to buy something it seems every week. :) I wish that I could be one of those super moms that always seem to have this super clean home, laundry always done, yard beautiful, crafty-home maker, and has a social life too. :) hmmm, don't know how they do it! I think I might hire someone to do that kind of stuff.
Getting excited for Disney. I can't wait to see Dalyla with the animals. Plus I think it will be fun to finally vacation with my family. Never have done that before!
