Hawaii 2012, Disney Aulani Resort

Oahu 2012!!  Woot Woot!
We had sooo much fun!
I can't believe how amazingly well my daughter has adjusted to flying and traveling.  She did great.
We had a few hiccups like a cold, and an ear ache, but she recovered and had a good time.
We got to go on a beautiful Hike in Oahu.  I was sooo happy to do this hike.  It was raining like crazy the entire hike but was sooo worth it.

We stayed in Waikiki 3 nights at the Marriott.  Robert and I had stayed there once before when the Tsunami came to town.  This time, we had perfect weather!

Then we traveled over to North Shore one day and had some yummy shrimp.
These waves were huge!  These pictures dont do it justice.  We were up on a ledge but these were the biggest waves I had ever seen.  They wouldn't let you in the water unless you had fins and were experienced.  They said they had broken backs and necks already. We were very nervous to let Dalyla near the water.  We didn't stay too long at the beach because it got hot and no swimming.

After North Shore we went to Aulani Resort.  It was beautiful!  At check in they gave us bead and shell necklaces and gave us lounge access to hang out in until our room was ready.
We had a great time here.  They had all kinds of activities, characters and swimming pools.  We took a few strolls down the lazy river, played at the beach for a few days, and played in the pool.  By the end of the trip Dalyla was a pretty good swimmer with her life jacket on.  She can now hold her breath and swim under water now too.
We went to a Luau and that was fun.  Dalyla really liked the show.  It was a beautiful sunset and evening.  Robert and I danced with Dalyla too.  It was awesome.
This is looking out off our balcony over the resort.  Did I mention they had water slides?  Dalyla did them both by herself!

Dalyla had a few bad moments.  This is one of her finer moments.

These were the best pictures we got.  Robert used the night setting but didn't hold still.
It was beautiful!

Goofy was our first character visit.

Dalyla got all dressed up to go to the Character Breakfast.  It was super fun.

She got to dance with Minnie and clap coconut shells together.

Chocolate face cheezer.  This was our expensive dinner buffet.  It would have been nicer if we didn't have flies everywhere!

All I can say is, this was one of my favorite vacations with my little family.  We had an awesome time and I can't say how thankful I am to have been able to go.
ALOHA!

Singer, Dancer and Comedian

Dalyla is so funny these days.  She tries to make jokes and is such a little kidder.
Today I said " Dalyla tell Daddy what we saw at the Aquarium."  She said to him "I saw a shirt, and an iPad, and a cup, and a table...."  ya, pretty much everything that was in sight she said she saw at the Aquarium.  I thought it was pretty funny.  She does this funny "strike a pose" thing now and she dances.  She is quite the singer now too.  She and Aspen tried to sing Kareoke but they don't know how to read the words.
Dalyla is 3 going on 16.  Seriously!  She is all princess, clothes, shoes, lipstick, and drama.  She loves to use lipstick and paint her nails.  She walks around in her dresses and high heals all the time.  She changes her clothes about twenty times a day too.
I had to add some of the summer fun so far.  Robert took Dalyla to the Alpine Slide in Park City.
Dalyla is quite the Cowgirl.  She loves horses.  She rode her play horse "melody" all morning.

Thirsty Thursday at the ball park is super fun.  We ride the train and play on the play ground.

She really liked the frog at the aquarium.

Dalyla and Aspen went to Tylar's birthday party.  It was a princess themed and Tinker bell came as a special guest.

4th of July carnival.

Hogle Zoo day with Easton, Avalin, and Kori.

Swimming lessons!

Trish's Graduation day

Trish did it!  I am so proud of her for all of her dedication.  She is amazing, smart and beautiful!  I am proud to be her friend.  Love you girl!

Love this girl!

Summer fun!  Dalyla is loving the swimming pool and the water.  We hope to get her into swimming lessons soon to prepare for HAWAII!

We have been going to the Bees games on Thursday nights.  Dalyla was riding the train and giving everyone we passed high fives!

Dalyla stopped at this rock and said,"mom take my picture with my flower".  LOL.  She loved the hike and was such a trooper.  we hiked up to Lake Mary's above Brighton.  She hiked all of the way up there and needed help on the way down.  When we got to the bridge on the way down she was tired and cold.  She didn't want anything to do with the camera.

Such a pretty lake right now.  I think with the lack of water this will probably be a mud hole in another month.

Dalyla is 3!

Holy cow!  How did the time fly by so quickly?  I feel like I barely blinked and bam, she is 3.  Every day is an adventure with her.  It is amazing how much she learns in a day.  She is talking so well and doing so many things.  She loves her princess, can recite the Ariel story word for word, loves to use the iPad, and colors almost inside the lines now.  Seems like every day she does something new.
For her 3rd birthday I thought it would be fine to celebrate at the Ranch over Memorial.  It worked out well.  We did miss many of her family members but she still had fun.  I bought an Ariel princess pinata, cupcake designs and make cupcakes, and princess Ariel good bags.  Her big present from mom and dad was a princess bike.  She loved it!  Now we just have to practice riding it.

Ellen did Dalyla, Kori, and Aspen's hair like princess hair for the party so that I could finish getting ready.  They loved it.
