"Little Miss Baby Stewart"

I thought I would write a little bit on my pregnancy and what a joy it has been. I am now 36 weeks along and everything is running smoothly. I haven't had any problems and have been very healthy. The first 4 months was icky of course with sickness but that subsided soon enough. Little Miss pokes me in the ribs often and lets me know she takes up residency.
Every Dr. appointment has gone well. I have gained more weight that I "should" have, but I have to remember that she is worth every pound. :) and the ice cream was too! Tomorrow I have my 36 week appointment and they will check to see how my cervix is and give me my strep test.
I have to say that being pregnant has been an experience that I never expected. I thought that I knew exactly what pregnancy was going to be like because I have been quite in tuned with so many of my friends and their pregnancies. Once I felt the movement of my child that's all I think about. "Is she moving? or man, she is busy, or, ok poke, poke, poke, are you awake?" Every conversation is about the baby, every decision I make involves future plans of the baby.
As my life changes, I start to realize that its a good change and that I am that lucky person that gets to give life to this human being.
All that I hope and pray for is a healthy, smart, beautiful child. I pray that she will get to see and do many of the things that I do.
I hear all of these terrible stories of babies dying either from SIDS, Genetic disorders, or just freak still borns and it just never stops once you get pregnant. I can only live in the moment and appreciate everything that I have and I am experiencing.
I know that my family is so supportive and that they are as excited as I am to meet her.
I am now ready to take the next step, and that is to hold and cherish her as long as I can. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I do know that I want to be with this child and I want to be the best mom that I can be.

Baby Room

Here is Daddy fixing the "Baby Stewart" room. Grandma Lori and Frank helped me paint and prepare, now Daddy puts in the floor, base and trim. Good thing he is so handy! Almost finished!

Birthday Trip to Portland

We took probably our last plane trip before the baby comes to Portland to visit a friend for my birthday. It was beautiful weather, we lucked out! We were able to walk around in the sunshine and take off our sweaters!! woohoo! We went to Multnomah falls and then to a few brew pubs (don't worry didn't over do it, hehe).
Anyway, it was a good time and Oregon is beautiful. Oh and we went to the Nike employee store..yea don't go there! Robert is lucky I was pregant and we still spent an arm and a leg!
